"Pole Jams" is the latest creation from Detroit Skate Rockers Stalephish.  
In way too deep stalephish continues on living a life of pain skateboarding
and playing skate influenced punk rock music.  Consisting of a bunch of
lifers who refuse to quit their sophomore album finally sees the light of
day in late 2016 on CD thru Not Like You Records (Albuquerque, NM) with LP
to follow in 2017.  13 new skate anthems about skating, staying alive,
touring, and living life.  

Stalephish started in October of 2012.  Skate, destroy, rock n roll is what
were about.  Vocalist Eric Scott and Bassist Michael Walker (of three chord
lords) we’re looking to play some skate influenced punk rock.  And that has
been somewhat of a rare commodity here in the Midwest…  Responded was Matt
Bishop (of many bands including Disco Assault, Jim Abusive & Cigarette
Burns, Scurvies) who recruited old time friend and skate “date” / pro
skater Garold Vallie.  The two meet way back when Garold was drumming in
the short lived Detroit punk sensation captain feedback and Matt was
screaming with the scurvies back in the late 90’s.  The band as a whole had
crossed paths skating and local shows in the past and when they finally got
together things just clicked… 

A very successful shred the southwest tour in the spring of 2014 showed
what we are all about: playing 14 shows in 16 days, destroying every dive
bar, DIY Venue, and skate spot we passed along the way! 

Shortly after tour drummer Garold Vallie had to step down for personal reason and the band was without a drummer until old friend Eric Burleson entered the picture.  Long
time friend of most of the band he caught on right away and after a few
months the band was out again playing shows again, including a short east
coast tour.

2017 has brought the release of their sophomore release "Pole Jams" on CD/LP on Not Like You Records.  With the new release has also brought a new addition on bass another long time friend Rob Dziak.  Current status?  Nowhere fast.
